3. Cookies
We use so-called cookies in some areas of our website. These file elements can be used to identify your computer as a technical unit during your visit to this website in order to make it easier for you to use our website - even on repeat visits.
However, you usually have the option of setting your Internet browser to inform you about the occurrence of cookies so that you can allow or exclude them or delete existing cookies.
Please use the help function of your internet browser to obtain information on how to change these settings. We would like to point out that individual functions of our website may not work if you have deactivated the use of cookies. Cookies do not allow a server to read private data from your computer or data stored by another server. They do not cause any damage to your computer and do not contain viruses.
We base the use of cookies on Art. 6 para. 1 lit.f GDPR: the processing is carried out to improve the functionality of our website. It is therefore necessary to protect our legitimate interests.
4. Use of Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.
Google is certified under the Privacy Shield Agreement and thus offers a guarantee of compliance with European data protection law
(see www.privacyshield.gov/participant.
Google Analytics uses ‘cookies’, which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyse how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. However, due to the activation of IP anonymisation on this website, your IP address will be shortened beforehand by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and truncated there. Google will use this information on our behalf to analyse your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide us with other services relating to website activity and internet usage. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data. You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser, however please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website.
You can also prevent Google from collecting the data generated by the cookie and relating to your use of the website (including your IP address) and from processing this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available at the following link
(http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de) and installing the available browser plugin.
You can find more information on terms of use and data protection at www.google.com/analytics/terms/de.html or at support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245.
We base the use of the aforementioned analysis tool on Art. 6 para. 1 letter f) GDPR: the processing is carried out to analyse user behaviour and is therefore necessary to protect our legitimate interests.
5. Use of Google marketing services
We use the marketing and remarketing services (‘Google Marketing Services’ for short) of Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.
Google marketing services use cookies that are stored on your computer and enable us to display adverts for and on our website in a more targeted manner in order to present users only with adverts that potentially match their interests. If, for example, you are shown adverts for products that you have shown an interest in on other websites, this is known as ‘remarketing’. For these purposes, when our and other websites on which Google marketing services are active are called up, a Google code is executed directly by Google and so-called (re)marketing tags are integrated into the website.
The information generated by the cookie or the day about your use of this website is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. However, due to the activation of IP anonymisation on this website, your IP address will be shortened by Google beforehand within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. User data is therefore generally processed pseudonymously as part of Google marketing services. This means that Google does not store and process the user's name or email address, for example, but processes the relevant data in relation to cookies within pseudonymised user profiles. This means that, from Google's perspective, the adverts are not managed and displayed for a specifically identified person, but for the cookie owner, regardless of who this cookie owner is. This does not apply if a user has expressly allowed Google to process the data without this pseudonymisation. The information collected by Google marketing services about users is transmitted to Google and stored on Google's servers in the USA.
The Google marketing services we use include the online advertising programme ‘Google AdWords’. In the case of Google AdWords, each AdWords customer receives a different ‘conversion cookie’. Cookies cannot therefore be tracked via the websites of AdWords customers. The information collected using the cookie is used to generate conversion statistics for AdWords customers who have opted for conversion tracking. AdWords customers learn the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were redirected to a page tagged with a conversion tracking tag. However, they do not receive any information that can be used to personally identify users.
We may integrate third-party advertisements based on Google's marketing services ‘DoubleClick’. DoubleClick uses cookies that enable Google and its partner websites to place advertisements based on users' visits to this website or other websites on the Internet.
We may also use ‘Google Tag Manager’ to integrate and manage Google's analytics and marketing services on our website.
For more information about Google's use of data for marketing purposes, please visit the overview page: policies.google.com/technologies/ads. Google's privacy policy is available at https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=de.
If you wish to object to interest-based advertising by Google marketing services, you can use the settings and opt-out options provided by Google: www.google.com/ads/preferences.
We base the use of the aforementioned marketing service on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) GDPR: processing is carried out for the purpose of improving our products and designing target group-specific advertising and is therefore necessary to safeguard our legitimate interests.
