Our success is based not only on strategic company acquisitions, but above all on the expertise, innovative strength and commitment of each individual company. In 2024, the Possehl Construction Group generated sales of around 328 million euros with over 1,500 employees. Since 2013, we have more than doubled our sales from 150 million euros to over 320 million euros.

Our story
1956
Possehl Chemie und Isolierstoffe GmbH in Hamburg founds a construction division based in Wiesbaden.
1960
Registered as an independent branch of Possehl Chemie und Isolierstoffe GmbH, Hamburg/Wiesbaden.
1980
Renaming to POSSEHL Spezialbau GmbH.
2009
Relocation from Wiesbaden to Sprendlingen / Rhh.
2024
Renaming to Possehl Construction GmbH and spin-off of the operating business to POSSEHL Spezialbau GmbH & Co. KG.

The Possehl Group is part of a non-profit organisation. The sole shareholder for more than 100 years has been the Possehl Foundation based in Lübeck.
